Purpose
Growing out of SUNY Empire’s unique mission, and as an important member of the larger SUNY system, the learning goals outlined below connect our historical mission, the rapidly educational changing educational environment, and the future of our Institution in a global society where knowledge and learning remain urgently important. These statements encapsulate the values that we bring to our work with students, and they articulate our hopes for our graduates. We recognize our connection to the SUNY System Learning Goals and Competencies, while maintaining our own academic perspectives on them.
Statements
Graduates of Empire State University will demonstrate competence in the following areas of learning, appropriate to their degree levels. These goals apply to associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs.
